IRP Visiting Scholars Seminar Series
IRP initiated a Visiting Scholars program in 1998 with support that continues today from the UW–Madison. Every year, we invite applications from young social science scholars from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups to visit IRP, interact with a faculty mentor and other faculty in residence, and become acquainted with the staff and resources of the Institute. The intent of the program is to enhance the research interests and resources available to visitors, to foster interaction between resident IRP affiliates and a diverse set of scholars, and to increase the number and diversity of poverty researchers. IRP also offers a visiting program for researchers who wish to extend their stay for longer periods.
