State Innovations in Policies Supporting Healthy Families ConferenceJuly 2009, University of Wisconsin–Madison This small working conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners whose work focuses on improving the well-being of families, especially vulnerable families, to discuss recent state-level policy innovations and lessons learned from them. The invitation-only meeting will facilitate the sharing of information across state agencies while also better informing researchers of the types of work that will help state agencies better serve needy families and children. Salient ideas drawn from the conference discussion will be made available on this web site in late 2009. This conference is being organized by Jennifer Noyes and Lawrence Berger, with financial support from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. |
